TOKO wax service
The wax service is available to all participants free of charge along the track. In the starting area there is a Toko “last minute wax service” (only cold waxes for skating skis and grip or klister waxes for classical skis) which costs CHF 10.-.
The voucher for the starting bib will be sent by e-mail to all participants before the race. Please show at starting bib distribution (show it on your mobile phone or as a print).
Heated tents at starting area
We recommend that you arrive at the starting area at least one hour prior to your start time. Two heated tents will be provided to shelter from the cold.
Change from Marathon to Half Marathon
Marathon participants (registered for 42 km) who decide, before the race, to finish after 21 km (Half Marathon) in Pontresina, have to deposit their personal items on the indicated truck number G for the Half-Marathon. Please note the separate location for these trucks (see map starting area here).
Busses from Pontresina to S-chanf
Participants of the Engadin Skimarathon (registered for 42 km), who finish the race in Pontresina as well as members of a company team, have the possibility to drive directly to the finish area in S-chanf using the shuttle busses leaving from Pontresina train station between 10:00 am and 02:30 pm. The busses leave every 30 minutes.
Free massage service for all participants at the finish area in S-chanf.

Isostar High Energy bars are a source of energy from various carbohydrates which are quickly absorbed by the body to sustain performance levels and replenish energy reserves. Vitamin B enhances metabolic activity.

(NOTE: handed out for free only at the Isostar stand in the Marathon Village when showing the voucher, which you will receive at the starting bib distrubtion)
Isostar Energy Booster contains caffeine and carbohydrates, therefore delivering energy quickly. Due to its liquid formula, the gel is particularly easy to consume.
Broken pole or ski
The broken pole or ski can be replaced at every racing service station along the race course. The poles will be provided by Swix, the skis by our Skipool (Rossignol, Fischer, Salomon, Atomic and Madshus). The position of the racing service stations will be marked by flags of Swix and our six Skipool partners. The service staff will be wearing red Swix vests.
Please return the exchanged pole or ski at the indicated place a few metres behind the finishing line in S-chanf or at the info desk in Pontresina. Many thanks!
Repair service (pole and Ski exchange)
In order that you can finish the race even when part of your equipment gets damaged on the way, we offer you exchange material at 10 racing service stations. The first repair station is approx. 1.5 km from the start on the lake of Sils.
Return of broken pole/ski
You will find your personal damaged racing equipment, which you had handed into a racing service station, at the following places:
- on Marathon Sunday: at the indicated place a few metres behind the finishing line in S-chanf. Please show your starting bib.
- from Tuesday:

Required information to hand out equipment
- Detailed description of the ski or pole you are looking for (length, brand/type, colour, stickers or inscriptions)
- Please remember in which village you have exchanged a pole or ski. The equipment is sorted according to the village in which it was exchanged.
- Indication of your full address.
- All objects must be collected by 31 March. Upon receipt of the prepaid postage and packing fees the equipment can also be forwarded up to this date.
The organisers aim to hold at your disposal as much of the exchanged defective material as possible for collection but cannot be held liable for equipment that might get lost in the procedure.
Equipment which was thrown away outside of the official racing service stations or got lost along the race course will not be collected!
