Fully booked! 14'200 will ski in the Engadin Skimarathon 2020
The participants in the Engadin Skimarathon on March 8th have already broken a record: the largest cross-country skiing event in Switzerland has never been sold out so early. 58 days before the race, the number of free starting places has been reduced to zero and the registration of the participants had to be stopped. "The growing demand for our races year after year makes us and our more than 1200 helpers very proud," says Menduri Kasper, CEO of the Engadin Skimarathon. «The participants appreciate the organization, which is tailored to their needs, and the unique skiing experience in the landscape of the Upper Engadine. Each of the three runs of the Engadin Skimarathon Week has its own special atmosphere. »
Those who have not yet registered for the classic “Engadiner” from Maloja to S-chanf will have to wait until 2021. Things look better for the Engadin Women's Race: Switzerland's second largest cross-country event after the “Engadiner” is also on record registration course, but there should not be an early shortage of starting places. The Women's Race leads over 17 kilometers from Samedan to S-chanf and is held one week before the Engadin Skimarathon.
On Thursday evening during the Engadin Skimarathon Week, the Engadin Night Race has established itself as another highlight: the participants ski with headlamps on the original Engadin Skimarathon trail 17 kilometers from Sils via the Engadine Lakes, St. Moritz and the Stazerwald to Pontresina.
