53rd Engadin Skimarathon
On the second Sunday morning of March, the starting pistol for the Engadin Skimarathon will be fired in Maloja in the Upper Engadin. The Engadin Skimarathon will take place on 12th March 2023.
Every year, Switzerland's largest sports event attracts around 14'000 cross-country fans from over 60 nations to the Upper Engadin valley.
On the 42 km long marathon route to S-chanf, the skiers move over frozen lakes, past typical Engadin villages and through a unique winter landscape.
Online registration for the 53nd Engadin Skimarathon and the 14th Engadin Half Marathon 2023 is open.
All ladies and gentlemen with birth year of 2006 and older are eligible for participation in the Engadin Skimarathon. Youths born in 2007 and 2008 are allowed to participate in the Engadin Half Marathon.
Youths born in 2007 and 2008 are allowed to start free at the 14th Engadin Half Marathon in 2023. The registration takes place via online form. The right to free registration is checked by means of an identity card (uploaded through the online form).
First-time participants can be seeded into the start wave due to their expected race time. For an allocation into an other start wave, a race result must be submitted using the form change of wave.

Special: The start takes place in waves.
Provided there are still free slots available, online registration is possible until Friday, March 10th 2023 at midnight. After this time you can only register until Saturday, March 11th 2023 at 5pm, at the startin bib distribution in the Marathon-Village in Pontresina. The participant limit is 14,200 people. The organizer does not guarantee free slots.
The amount of the entry fee depends on the date of the receipt of payment.

The entry fee is excluding any transaction costs (e.g. credit card fees).

Personalized starting bib
If we receive the payment before February 14th, the name of the participant will be printed on the starting bib as a special souvenir gift. After this date, printing your name on the starting number is no longer possible.
If no cancellation insurance has been taken out and you cancel before the December 31st, the paid starting fee will be credited to the next year's race (no refund). The starting place can be postponed only two times. If you cancel after December 31st, no credit will be given. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance (eg. directly with online registration). The start authorization can be transferred to a replacement person until February 18th for a fee of CHF 40.00.
If participants who enter Switzerland from abroad have to remain in quarantine for at least 5 days due to official instructions and therefore cannot start the Engadin Skimarathon, Engadin Women's Race or Engadin Night Race, the entry fee will be carried over to the next year.
We recommend taking our cancellation insurance (only possible directly with the online registration). In the event of illness or accident, you may submit a request for reimbursement by submitting a medical certificate to Europäische Reiseversicherungs AG. If the application is accepted, you will automatically receive a Datasport voucher equal to the insured amount.
With Marathon Deluxe, the Engadin Skimarathon becomes a real treat. Before the start, "Deluxe" participants at the Hotel Maloja Palace get breakfast and can stay warm until the race start. Personal effects can be dropped off directly in front of the hotel Maloja Palace in a separate effects bus. For the participants of the "Marathon-Deluxe" there is a separate access to the starting field at the height of the start wave A0. The start will take place from this entrance at the same time as the assigned start wave. There is no need to stand and wait in the starting area.
After arriving at the finish, personal effects are available next to the finish area and there are separate changing facilities available. Afterwards, the comfortable Marathon Chalet awaits - all drinks and food are included.
The seats are limited to 100 people. Precendence depends on the order in which the applications are received.

Note Engadin Half Marathon: The package is intended for participants of the Engadin Skimarathon. There is no price reduction for the Engadin Half Marathon.
