Experience something special with your class! Inform your teacher and register your class for the Engadin Skimarathon and profit from the great benefits.

Eligibility / Starting Block

Students from one class can participate in both the Engadin Half Marathon (born in 2005 and earlier) and the Engadin Skimarathon (born in 2003 and older). Each student starts in the starting blocks and runs the race as an individual participant. Starting block assigment takes place in accordance with the general guidelines of the Engadin Skimarathon.

Registration

School classes can register until the 15th of January. Late registrations are not possible. Teachers have to complete the registration form for school classes with the personal details of the participating students and send it to us by E-Mail. Upon receipt of the registration, the teacher will be billed for the entire registration fee.

The journey to Landquart and any accommodation costs are responsibility of the class.

Material for the race day

In principle, all students are responsible for having cross-country skiing equipment available on the race day. If required, Swiss-Ski provides cross-country skiing equipment free of charge (by appointment only).

Provided material can be picked up in the week before the Engadin Skimarathon by Balz Helfenstein, the material manager of Swiss JULALA. It is recommended to pick up the material for the class a whole. The equipment is distributed according to the principle "first come, first serve". Please contact Balz Helfenstein directly when booking, to reserve the material and discuss the handover.

The material must be returned in the week after the Engadin Skimarathon. Again it is recommended to organize the return for the class as whole. The skis are not specially prepared for the run by Engadin Skimarathon. Material that is not returned will be charged.

Unforgettable course: Swiss cross-country skiing star Dario Cologna shows children how to get up properly after a fall.

Cross-country lessons

Classes have a total of four lessons of cross-country lessons (either four individual lessons or two individual lessons and two lessons with Swiss-Ski *). The teacher is responsible for organizing the lessons and rental material in the area of their own school. The Engadin Skimarathon covers the costs of 2 x 2 lessons of 50 minutes each for the students participating in the Engadin Skimarathon. The teachers themselves decide when these lessons should take place, organize the lessons, and are responsible for sending the bill for the cross-country ski school directly to the Engadin Skimarathon.

*The cross-country lessons with Swiss-Ski take place on Friday and Saturday before the Engadin Skimarathon. If possible, instruction is given by Swiss-Ski or club athletes, otherwise by cross-country instructors. For this lesson the teacher can record requested dates on the registration form.
